Weddings are such wonderful and happy occasions, and I believe that it is a true honour to be able to share this special day with my clients. Customer service is especially important: you plan every detail of your wedding, it costs a small fortune, and it is all over so quickly! It is essential to have a photographer at hand to capture not just the key moments, but the very essence of the day. I always take the time to meet the bride and groom in advance and understand exactly what they want. Having taken the pictures, I then check each RAW file individually for exposure, white balance, colour saturation etc., even retouching to remove the odd insect bite or unsightly lamppost before downloading a top quality JPEG to your personal USB stick.
In addition to covering the actual wedding, I offer the following extra services:
These vary greatly depending on your requirements. One of my specialities is offering a range of photo books and albums. Even with my packages you always get a choice of cover material and colour and the possibility to upgrade to a larger size, more pages or a more luxurious presentation case. Typically I offer the full range of stunning albums made by Folio (www.folioalbums.com). But if their gorgeous fine art paper isn't your style, there are other albums I can offer.
By using a professional photographer you are opening up a world of possibilities. People ordering directly from photo book manufacturers are limited in the quality and range available. Professional photographers have access to an amazing world of high-quality manufacturers who do not deal with the public directly. What do you get for your money? The answer: quality and design. What costs the money? Typically three things.
Firstly, the overall quality - traditional luxury covers such as superior real leather. Typically albums are hand made from the best materials available, and will last for generations. They lie completely flat so photos can be spread across a double page and come in beautiful presentation boxes and are printed on the finest photographic papers. The more extravagant the materials, the higher the cost.
The second factor is size. The larger the album, the higher the cost. This applies to both the size of the cover and the number of pages. One way to get a top quality album for less money is to select only the very best photos and limit the number of pages. I like to be generous with the number of pages in my packages with at least 30 included (15 double-page spreads). You can always add additional spreads if required.
Thirdly, you are paying for a professional photographer to individually design the layout of your album (with as much or as little involvement from yourselves as wished). Again here, the more pages, the higher the cost. I will typically spend two full days designing your album.
